Magnum was found on the streets of Palmdale, California several years ago. He was rescued from the pound by a member of the Southern California Bouvier des Flandres club. I offered to foster him for a time, but after having him at home for an hour, I decided he was a "keeper." Unlike most Bouviers, Magnum has his original ears and tail which is almost always in constant motion.
The first picture is after he was neutered and required a collar to prevent him from pulling the stitches out. For the first week, Magnum stayed outside as the introduction to the other dogs was a slow process. The second picture is Magnum enjoying the winter in Colorado. The third picture is his summer 1998 coat. He sure doesn't look like a Bouvier in that picture. The last picture is my favorite. More than any photo, the real Magnum was captured by Emily Nutt (age 9) of Lafayette, Colorado. Her artwork clearly depicts Magnum as the big lovable goofball that he is.
