Annie is our grand old girl who is about 13 ½ years old if memory serves me correctly. She is as far as I know, the only Bouvier des Flandres with an implanted pacemaker. We had it put in several years ago when we discovered that she had an abnormally low heart rate due to an AV block. It could not be corrected with medication.
It was a long struggle to get excessive weight off of her, but she is looking really great now and is far more mobile than she has been in years. We used to have to use a sling to get her up off the floor as she would lay in the part of the house with very thin carpet. Now she can get up by herself most of the time which is great to see.
She is a really sweet girl and we hope to have her with us for a long time.
