Jamie
I took the long drive
this morning from Austin to Early, TX to meet our Rottie that was seized as a
cruelty case. Although I had seen pictures, they were not even close to
showing the condition this girl was in.
Jamie, named for Officer James
Robison, her savior and my hero, is a very big girl, and just barely tips the
scale at 49 lbs! She is safe, she is loved and she will be fine with CJ
Rawls of Broken Heart Animal Rescue of Dime Box, TX, who has already broken the
bank buying special treats of beef liver and hearts, hamburger, yogurt and
vitamins galore.
Despite her horrible condition, Jamie
is sweet and affectionate, gentle and trusting. Even her leg bones are
clearly visible through her skin. She has not one single store of fat, no
muscle left at all on her entire body. Without Officer Robison, Jamie
would have been dead within a
week.
Say a prayer for Jamie, and give
thanks that the Hill Country has another voice for the animals in James Robison.
